PGLS is looking to add a Remote Scheduling Coordinator to the team.
The Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and supporting onsite and virtual interpreting assignments for healthcare clients. The Coordinator will also be responsible for assigning interpreters to clients' requests based on client preferences, interpreters' skills and availability while minimizing overall costs, maximizing efficiencies, and providing high quality services to our customers. This candidate will maintain operational continuity and efficiency between prior and following shifts. The incumbent must demonstrate excellent communication skills with clients, staff, and contractors.

Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure provision of services by communicating with clients, creating job requests accurately and efficiently, coordinating interpreter schedules and adhering to interpreter contracts.
- Provide excellent customer service both for external and internal stakeholders.
- Schedule interpreters to ensure appropriate coverage for onsite, telephonic, Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) assignments and Remote Simultaneous events.
- Monitor on-demand pool of active interpreters, as well as demand and maintain the Interpretation Programs Manager informed to ensure continuity of services for client languages and hours of operation.
- Maximize all PGLS technology to communicate with contractors and provide them with support as needed.
- Provide accurate reports on on-site and virtual services as requested.
- Maintain accurate records of current, qualified, trained, and cleared interpreters.
- Maintain PGLS Platform updated to reflect latest changes on both the interpreter and client side.
- Monitor operations using PGLS Interpretation Platform and analyze demand, interpreters pool, and new requests on an ongoing basis. Report regularly to the Interpretation Programs Manager about these trends to ensure coverage and interpreter pool adjustments.
- Write documentation of technical issues and escalate as appropriate.
- Develop familiarity with PGLS's scheduling platforms and interpreter requirements.
- Support other members and functions of the Operations department.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned, including but not limited to system audits, QC processes and billing support.
Basic Job Skills & Qualifications:
- A.A./A.S.
- 2+ years of work experience in a customer-service related field
- Demonstrated ability to learn new software
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and able to multitask
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Experience in customer-facing roles
Preferred:
- B.A./B.S.
- Experience in the language services industry
- Experience with scheduling systems, particularly interpreting management platforms
