- Manage/monitor global import operations to Mexico gateways and oversee the entire process of importing shipments, from linehaul arrival, clearance through imported custom, to the delivery to lastmile’s partner.
- Proficiency with developing and implementing processes to ensure compliance with customs regulations.
- Work closely and control the collaborations with cross-functional teams including finance, legal, and last mile partner to ensure that the importing operations meet the needs of the business requirement.
- Seek the solution to improve the transit time performance and reduce the operation cost.
- Manage the company's trucking network through the gateway to the destination city, including procurement, dispatch, scheduling, and routing.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the team on the performance of the importing operations.
- Perform project management support tasks to enable delivery of team assignments and objectives
- Customs broker and GHA operation management experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Specialized knowledge of Mexico import regulations.
- Tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment
Job Requirements
- Bilingual in both Spanish and English is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in managing importing operations, supply chain management or similar operations.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and GHA operation procedures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
